"Welcome home baby"

That's what Diana said when I pulled in from New York... and I felt it this morning for the first real time, driving down the road looking at the fields where the frozen dew had not yet melted from where the trees' shadows lay. It was nothing really, but struck me. The spring ephemerals will be coming out of the ground soon and I feel myself being caught up again in the magic...
I'm home and it feels sooo good!

White Squirrels are all over the place in Brevard! The first time I saw one out the kitchen window I gave Rob a panic when I screamed! It was so strange, this pure white squirrel in the woods...

Cypress vine out of control...

Texas Bluebonnet, Lupinus texensis, just breaking through...

I'll be in your neck of the woods next weekend, visiting my parents in Hendersonville. I've yet to see any of your famous white squirrels. We had one in Prospect Park last year; I didn't get to see that one, either.
